Our Attorneys

Steven Johnson is an experienced commercial trial lawyer who has litigated a wide range of business disputes before various state and federal courts and arbitration panels. Mr. Johnson has represented and counseled various real estate and investment companies in a broad range of commercial disputes, involving breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duties, misappropriation of trade secrets, and fraud.

Before forming the firm in 2004, Mr. Johnson was of counsel in the New York litigation department of Paul Hastings LLP. Steve started his career in the litigation department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, earned his JD from New York Law School, and earned his BA, cum laude, from the University of Washington.

Peter Gallagher is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer who handles complex business disputes for plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts and arbitral forums across the country. Peter is a graduate of the Columbia Law School and a Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Bowdoin College.

Peter was an associate at the New York City firm of Christy & Viener from 1992 through 1999, and a partner at Salans, the international firm that Christy & Viener merged into, from 2000 through 2005. In 2005, he received the Burton Award, a national award for excellence in legal writing.

Shannon Fields is a commercial litigator with experience in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels as well as arbitration proceedings and mediations before JAMS and the AAA.

Shannon earned her JD, cum laude, from Cornell Law School, where she served on the Cornell Law Review and was an Honors Fellow in the Lawyering Program. She also received a Master's Degree in Global Business Law, cum laude, at Cornell Law School and Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques de Paris. Shannon earned her BA, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Birmingham-Southern College.
